RACE RESULTS JUNE 11 2023
Our first race is now behind us. As usual the first event is always a little bumpy as we try to work out the bugs of the first race of the year. Now that the first event is behind us we will be working on a better process to make the day flow a little bit better. We did start racing 35 minutes late, but we were finished racing with in the 2 hours I was hoping for. Thank you to all of the track staff for their efforts on a tough day with several hiccups throughout the day. Perseverance got us through the day and after the hiccups, the racing was amazing. We have a good crop of new racers that will surely keep us on our toes as we teach them the basics of lineups, and coming to the green flag.

Good Morning Vt Shifter Kart Family of Racers,
Mother nature parted the clouds just enough for us to get our entire program in and remain dry all night. She did threaten us with a few sprinkles a couple of times though.
A special Thank You to our sponsor last night WC Racing of Williamstown, Vt. We greatly appreciate their support of our race program.
We had a wonderful night of racing with 61 karts in the pits and plenty of action on the race track to keep the spectators eyes on the race track. Drivers, you all did a great job last night, even with the cold temperatures if felt good to have the entire race program done in 2 hours. Our next event is Wed night June 29 2022 with pit gates opening at 3:30 pm and racing starting at 6:15 to 6:30 pm. With a full card of racing.

Good Morning Vt Shifter Karts Family,
My gosh, the weather was amazing, and with 55 karts in the pits, the racing on the track was truly fun to watch. Its amazing to watch 7-10 year olds racing for the second time in karts show so much improvement since last week. More importantly they showed respect to their fellow racers that aren’t quit as confident with their skill set yet, giving them space and patience when it was time to pass. If you haven’t made it to the track to enjoy the entertainment, you should, it is free to spectate, and our concession stand has plenty of really good food. You can sit in the comfort of your car on the backstretch, tune your car radio to fm 99.1 to hear the track announcer, sit back and relaxe watching young drivers improve their skillset that they will take with them to stock car racing some day.

Final thought for today, no two people are the same, we all do things differently and prefer different things. Racetracks are a lot like people, they are run differently by people. These race tracks all have expectations for spectator and participant behavior and those expectations are different from track to track. No matter where the track is, we all are expected to conform with the expectations at the track
Our next Event is planned for Wed night June 8 2022 with practice beginning at 5 pm and post time 6:15 pm. Spectators are FREE to watch, we also have a concession on site and great parking to watch from your cards with our own FM station to hear the announcer over from the comfort of your car.
I want to THANK, all of the folks that help run our show last night
Karen Blow, Registration
Keith Blow, Flagger
Todd Stratton, Scoring
Mike Pelkey, Scoring
Tonya Cheney, Grid steward
Cecil Royea, Safety Tech and Scales
Don, our EMT
Matt Bergeron, Infield Flagger
Richard Wobby, Track Announcer
And the many parents that pitch in and help when there is a kart in distress.
Look forward to seeing you all at the next event Wed. June 8 2022
